US Citizen Services

Notice:  The American Citizen Services Section will be closed for routine American Citizen services on Friday, January 29.  The Consulate will be open for routine American Citizen Services from 9:00 am to noon, 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm on Thursday, January 28.  American Citizens who want to discuss visa cases can speak with a visa officer on Thursday, January 28 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.

The American Citizen Services unit at US Consulate Chengdu provides services including passport renewals, passport extra pages, birth reports, notaries, and Certificates of Marriageability.

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 1:30-3:00 PM
Friday 9:00-12:00 AM, 1:30-3:00 PM

We are closed for routine US Citizen Services on Wednesdays.

Access to the Consular Section

Americans

Americans can enter the Consular section up to 30 minutes before our normal walk-in hours, and any time during our normal business hours for emergency services. 

Spouses and Children of American Citizens

If an American citizen appears for services during American Citizen Service hours, and his or her spouse or child is not American, the spouse and child can enter the Consular section as long as identification is provided by the American Citizen.

Non-Americans

Non-Americans may enter the Consular section for notarial services during routine American Citizen Services hours.

Emergencies

The ACS Unit provides emergency assistance to American citizens in distress: when an American is destitute, arrested, separated from minor children, or sick. In an emergency, the Consulate Duty Officer can be reached at any time by calling 1370-800-1422.
